Dogura tries Arjun at Tokyo Game Show - first pro notes on Street Fighter 6’s next DLC fighter
# Dogura tries Arjun at Tokyo Game Show 2026 ## First pro impressions of Street Fighter 6’s next DLC fighter Arjun is playable in a special Street Fighter 6 build at **Tokyo Game Show 2026**, giving attendees the first real hands-on look at the upcoming DLC character before his **October 13 release**. Crazy Raccoon pro **Dogura** was among the players able to test Arjun and later shared several early observations from his session. Community translator **Chris_F** also provided a generalized English version of those impressions. ### A true big-body character According to Dogura, Arjun has **10,500 health**, putting him alongside characters such as **Alex, E. Honda and Marisa**. His walk speed appears to be roughly comparable to Marisa. He is clearly slower than much of the roster, although not exceptionally sluggish. His **Drive Rush** feels different. Dogura compared it to JP's, with a fairly normal initial burst followed by significant forward momentum. ### Corner pressure comes at a cost Arjun appears to have access to a **corner throw loop**, but it requires Drive Rush. That means the pressure is not completely free. Arjun has to spend Drive Gauge to maintain the sequence rather than simply looping throws through movement alone. ### Early normal and frame observations Several normals already stood out during Dogura's play session. **Crouching Medium Kick** • 8-frame startup • −2 on block • Not special-cancellable • Cannot be used for a standard Drive Rush Cancel **Jumping Heavy Kick** • Functions as a cross-up • Resembles a body splash more than a traditional jump kick **Standing Light Punch** • 4-frame startup • Short range **Crouching Light Punch** • 5-frame startup • Longer reach than Luke's **Standing Medium Kick** • Special-cancellable **Crouching Medium Kick** • Not special-cancellable • After a blocked Drive Rush version, Arjun is reportedly outside throw range ### Command grab details Dogura also tested Arjun's command grab. The regular version reportedly does not change depending on button strength. • 9-frame startup • Short range • Comparable to Manon's Heavy command grab • Roughly 1,500 recoverable damage The **OD command grab** is slower but reaches farther and deals approximately **2,000 recoverable damage**. ### Special move observations A few additional mechanics were also highlighted. Arjun's **breath cylinder** cannot be fired unless breath is already present in front of him. Dogura also noted that **Heavy Cruel Shoulder is +1 on block**, potentially giving Arjun another important pressure tool at close range. ## Early impression These observations come from a **Tokyo Game Show preview build**, so frame data and balance values may still change before release. Even so, the early picture is becoming clearer. Arjun appears to be a **high-health, heavy pressure character** whose strongest situations depend heavily on Drive Gauge management, spacing and momentum rather than raw movement speed. Players attending Tokyo Game Show can continue testing Arjun at Capcom's booth throughout the event. The finished character is currently scheduled to release for **Street Fighter 6 on October 13, 2026**.
