Dual Kevin Wins Evo France 2026 With Dramatic 0–2 Comeback

*The American Rashid player defeats Crazy Raccoon teammate Tachikawa 3–2 in the grand final reset after coming within one game of losing the title.* Kevin “Dual Kevin” Barrios is the Street Fighter 6 champion of Evo France 2026. The American secured the trophy in Nice on Sunday, October 11, recovering from a 0–2 deficit in the decisive set to beat Tachikawa 3–2. Dual Kevin reached the grand final through the winners bracket. His Rashid defeated Problem X’s Alex 3–1 in the winners semifinal before overcoming Punk’s Cammy 3–2 in a five-game winners final. Tachikawa took a much longer route to the same stage. A 0–3 loss to Punk sent him into the lower bracket, where his C. Viper survived three consecutive five-game sets. He defeated Hinao, kobayan and finally Punk, all by 3–2 scorelines, reversing his earlier loss to the American and reaching the grand final. Those victories brought Tachikawa into an all-Crazy Raccoon grand final against Dual Kevin. The Japanese player won the opening set 3–1 to reset the bracket, then took the first two games of the deciding set. One more game would have made him champion. Dual Kevin answered by winning the next three. With no further bracket advantage to protect him, the Rashid player overturned the deficit and completed a 3–2 victory to take the championship. The title arrived after Dual Kevin had already achieved another important goal that afternoon. Following his win over Problem X, he announced that his place at Capcom Cup was secured. But qualification alone was not what he had come to Nice for. “Job isn’t done because the final goal today is to win this tournament,” he [posted on X](https://x.com/Dual_Kevin/status/2109335754988023901). His return to the Evo France stage also produced a significant improvement on last year. Dual Kevin finished tied for fifth in 2025, when defeats to kobayan and Mister Crimson ended his tournament. Twelve months later, he leaves Nice with the trophy. **Evo France 2026 — Street Fighter 6 final standings** | Place | Player | |:--|:--| | 1st | Dual Kevin | | 2nd | Tachikawa | | 3rd | Punk | | 4th | kobayan | | 5th–6th | Problem X | | 5th–6th | Hinao | | 7th–8th | Lexx | | 7th–8th | Dogura |
