TEKKEN 8 PATCH 3.02.01 IS LIVE: BOB ARRIVES ALONGSIDE MAJOR SYSTEM AND BALANCE CHANGES
**Published: August 20, 2026** **Game: TEKKEN 8** **Version: 3.02.01** TEKKEN 8 has received **Version 3.02.01**, bringing Bob into Early Access while introducing a substantial collection of system adjustments, character changes and quality-of-life updates. Bob is naturally the headline addition. Season 3 Pass owners now receive **120 hours of Early Access**, beginning around 1:00 AM CEST on August 20. His general release is scheduled for August 25 in Europe. However, the new character is only part of the update. Bandai Namco has made changes to TEKKEN 8's core battle system, including a reduction to maximum health and significant adjustments to Quick Recovery. The developer says high-impact moves were reviewed with the intention of improving risk-reward balance and expanding the options available to players on both offense and defense. Version 3.02.01 also contains changes and fixes affecting a large portion of the playable roster. While many are focused on hitboxes, collision detection, Attack Reversal interactions and unintended behavior, several adjustments could have a more noticeable effect on competitive play. The update arrives during an active TEKKEN World Tour season, meaning professional players will now have to evaluate both the system changes and an entirely new character at the same time. Outside of battle, Bandai Namco has launched **TEKKEN FIGHT PASS Round 11**, added new cosmetic content and introduced a Bob avatar skin for the TEKKEN FIGHT LOUNGE. The update also changes how the matchmaking confirmation window behaves following player feedback submitted through channels including the TEKKEN Dev Feedback Portal. Below are the complete gameplay changes included in Version 3.02.01. ## SYSTEM AND BATTLE BALANCE CHANGES * Reviewed high-impact moves to adjust risk-reward balance and expand offensive and defensive With Bob entering the roster and several fundamental battle mechanics changing at the same time, **Version 3.02.01 is more significant than a routine DLC update**. The reduction from 200 to 190 health alone changes the amount of punishment players can absorb, while the Quick Recovery adjustments make previously favorable situations considerably less safe. Those changes will now be tested at the highest level as players determine which characters benefit most from the new environment. The first tournament results under Version 3.02.01 should give us a much clearer indication of how much the update has changed competitive TEKKEN 8. **Source:** Official TEKKEN 8 Version 3.02.01 patch information supplied for this article.
